2023 Literacy Matters Virtual Breakfast
Please join us for the Literacy Matters Virtual Breakfast, a special event that celebrates adult learners who quietly strive to improve their lives through literacy, along with the dedicated volunteers and staff who help them. The Nashville Adult Literacy Council will share stories that promise to leave you feeling inspired and more connected to your community. The best part? You don’t have to leave the comfort of your home!
We will gather online on May 25 at 7:30 a.m. The event will be hosted by award-winning broadcaster Rudy Kalis. Rudy moved to the United States from Germany when he was five years old. He didn’t speak any English when he arrived, and he went on to win four regional Emmy’s and 15 Associated Press awards while working at WSMV-Channel 4! He will help us honor the work of our learners and volunteer tutors with awards and prizes. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to double your impact and make a donation today!
Buy a full size bag of our special Literacy Matters Blend of Bongo Java coffee to enjoy during the event (or any time!). Proceeds help our learners change their lives through literacy.
Save the date: on May 12 from 5 - 7 p.m. our friends at Parnassus Books will donate a portion of sales to the Nashville Adult Literacy Council to help support the Literacy Matters Breakfast!
