Literacy Matters Virtual Breakfast

In past years, the Nashville Adult Literacy Council has invited learners, volunteers, staff, and the community to break bread over a diverse potluck dinner known as the Learner & Tutor Banquet. This unique event allowed us to form connections and celebrate the hard work of our community in a truly meaningful way.

This spring, we’re doing things a little differently, but with the same intentions, through a virtual breakfast event. The Literacy Matters Virtual Breakfast will honor the work of our learners, tutors and staff over the past two years.

Join us on Tuesday, May 24, at 7:30 a.m. via Zoom for this special celebration! Tickets are free, with options to donate before, during, or after the event. Thanks to our generous sponsor, Amazon, $15,000 in individual donations has been matched as of May 18! The Tynewald Foundation is so impressed with our progress, that they want to show their support with an additional $50,000 match through June 30! Take advantage of this rare opportunity to double your impact and make a donation today!

Register early: the first 50 ticket holders receive a free 4oz bag of the Literacy Matters Blend from Bongo Java coffee!

Want more coffee? Purchase a full size bag of our special blend or the roast of your choosing at Bongo Java. A portion of proceeds directly benefit NALC.

Thank you to our event sponsors who are helping our learners change their lives through literacy!
