In Our Words
Each year the Nashville Adult Literacy Council publishes a book of stories, titled In Our Words, written by our learners, tutors, and teachers. These stories cover a variety of topics and are often a big accomplishment for our learners. We are lucky to be able to offer the opportunity for our learners to share their stories with you.
We encourage all of our learners, tutors, and teachers to write stories for the annual book. If you or your learner decide to write a story, don’t forget to provide us with a signed permission slip. Without a signed permission slip we will not be able to publish the story. Permission slips may be faxed to 615-298-8444 or dropped off or mailed to our West Nashville Office at 4805 Park Ave, Room 305, Nashville, TN, 37209.
We are currently collecting In Our Words stories for the 2011 edition. These stories and the accompanying permission slips are due no later than Friday, October 14th, 2011.
