Math

A+ Math
Make your own flashcards and worksheets, or play some interesting math games. Worksheets can be printed out for basic math, algebra, fractions, money, and decimals.

AAA Math
This site has math activities by grade level and topic. These are mostly drill and kill math problems. Some problems have explanations and help. You can practice basic math, money, measurement, fractions, and more.

Financial Literacy
This site is a collection of online money lessons and games, including everything from counting money to budgeting.

Purple Math
Purple Math is all about algebra: explanations, terminology, definitions, problem solving etc.

Cool Math For Kids
This site has lessons and games focused on all the levels of grade school math from basic counting to algebra.

Spelling

Literacy Tools
This site has learning activities you can do online or print. It also has games and tutor helps. To work on spelling, click on print Exercises, then on Skills, and then on Spelling Sounds. Print out the pages to work on your spelling.

Spelling City
Spelling games, quizzes, lists, etc.  Includes a section for teachers as well as students.

Word Families
Use this site to practice word families. Click on the magnets and drag them to make words. Say the words after you make them. Some learners may need tutor support.

Vocabulary

Internet Picture Dictionary
This is a basic picture dictionary with spelling activities and word games. Browse by category (Animals, tools, clothing, colors, etc.) or search by key word. Browse by letter or category. Activities include: Flashcards, Fill-in- the-blanks, Word scrambles, Stinky spelling, and straight recall. French, Italian, Spanish and German versions are also available.

Vocabulary can be Fun
Play a match game, hangman, do a word search, or a quiz to learn new words. Subjects include animals, food, kitchen, transportation, vegetables, and musical instruments. There are easy, medium and hard levels.

Writing

Handwriting Lessons
You can print out letters of the alphabet to practice writing. The menu is on the left side of the page. You can also print practice pages and letter family practice.

How to Make Complete Sentences
This site shows how to write a complete sentence.  It has practice worksheets, uses a large font that is easy to read, and the directions are easy to understand.

Writing Den
This site offers help for writing skills for many skill levels and topic areas. Topics include tips (sentences, paragraphs, and essays), a word of the day e-mail you can sign up to receive, and more. The Tip-o-matic section is very helpful. You may need tutor support.
