NALC Receives EVE Certification

The Nashville Adult Literacy Council has been re-certified with the Excellence in Volunteer Engagement (EVE) designation by Hands On Nashville and the Center for Nonprofit Management.

To be EVE certified, nonprofits must:

  • conduct volunteer orientations
  • distribute training materials
  • designate a staff member as a volunteer coordinator
  • include a volunteer program component in the organization’s strategic plan and more.

“Volunteers perform such amazing work in our city, and our nonprofits make this work possible,” said Mayor Megan Barry. “We are excited to continue the EVE collaboration to honor nonprofits leading excellence volunteer management programs. These programs make the volunteer commitment successful. I am so proud of the nonprofits being recognized here today for working hard to ensure that volunteers’ time is utilized for the greatest possible return.”
